Sunlight And Art

Avoid long periods of direct exposure to sunlight, as the image may fade over time. A bright room is fine but try not to hang the artwork where the sun will fall directly on the piece.

While the spot I am considering does not have direct sunlight, it nevertheless is in the vicnity of the beam. Hence it is brighter than the rest of the room for a few hours. I thought of tinting the one window through the sun comes. If I do that, do you know of any window treatment (e.g., car window tint kit) that is easily applied AND REMOVED? If not, is there any window material (e.g., sheer or muslin) that would ameliorate the harmful effects? Thanks.
