Packing material
Do not let the material you are using to wrap your artwork touch the front of the painting. If you have no choice, place a layer of wax paper between the front of the canvas and the packing material.

If you are going to stack a number of paintings one behind another, place a piece of hard cardboard between them. Make sure the cardboard covers the entire piece.

Keeping it safe
Sculpture should be wrapped in a soft material (blanket, foam, etc.) and then placed in an appropriately sized box, with additional padding.

Effects of Weather
Do not store your artwork in an area where the weather can have an impact on it. I have seen many works of art destroyed because they were left in a barn or damp basement. Water is a painting´s worst enemy.

Never let something rest against the face or back of the canvas as damage can occur.
